Job description

We are hiring a Vice President, Investor Relations to support and guide our growth trajectory as a publicly traded healthcare company.

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Vice President Investor Relations will be responsible for developing, advising and executing investor communication strategies that help establish the company with capital markets in the US and Canada, as an innovative, emerging healthcare leader, while aligning with internal stakeholders and elevating the team and brand overall. They will maintain existing relationships and build new ones with the executive team and a network of contacts, both internally and externally. In addition, they will develop an in-depth understanding of the business at a financial, strategic, and operating level, and coach and counsel the executive team on the effective delivery of corporate performance and/or business strategy to internal and external audiences.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate for this role is a bright, dynamic and ambitious executive with experience serving in investor relations, finance, and reporting, ideally within the Healthcare or Life Sciences sector. They will have demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills and have a collaborative problem-solving style. In addition, they possess excellent communication skills and can relate to a broad group of people with comfort and ease. They will have at least 10+ years of experience with corporate investor relations, finance or similar positions for a publicly traded company or investment bank. Deep knowledge and awareness of the capital markets, experience cultivating meaningful relationships with analysts and institutional investors, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry are required. Remote work will be available/flexible based on the location. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
